RENT2BUY GUIDE

Which Vans Can You Choose for Rent2Buy?

A clear explanation of which vehicles are available through Rent2Buy and why customers must choose from current advertised scheme stock.

Can I Choose Any Van for Rent2Buy, or Only Vehicles Advertised on the Scheme?

Rent2Buy customers can choose only from [vehicles currently advertised as available on the Rent2Buy scheme](https://www.vanfinancecompany.co.uk/rent2buyvans). You should not assume that every van held by Van Finance Company or shown elsewhere is automatically available through Rent2Buy.

Rent2Buy is a separate rental-to-ownership arrangement. It is not conventional van finance and does not use a credit check. Applications are assessed using affordability evidence, identity documents and eligibility checks.

Why is there a separate Rent2Buy vehicle selection?

Rent2Buy operates with its own available stock and agreement structure. Vehicle types and availability change regularly, so the current advertised selection is the reliable place to see what can actually be chosen.

Stock may include small, medium and large vans, crew vans, tippers, Lutons and limited numbers of pickups or cars, but no particular body type should be treated as permanently available.

Are the advertised monthly prices negotiable?

No. The advertised monthly Rent2Buy prices are fixed.

Customers are assessed for an approved monthly vehicle limit using Rent2Buy's internal affordability process. A customer may sometimes be able to choose a vehicle slightly above that limit by paying a larger initial rental so the ongoing monthly amount falls within the approved level, but this must be confirmed by the office.

A larger initial rental does not override geographic eligibility or other application requirements.

Can a vehicle be held while I decide?

No. A vehicle remains available until the £200 vehicle deposit has been paid against that specific vehicle.

Once the £200 deposit is paid, the vehicle is reserved and enters the preparation queue. Until then, another customer may select it.

What if the van I want is not on the Rent2Buy list?

If a particular van is not currently advertised for Rent2Buy, do not assume it can simply be moved onto the scheme. Ask the Rent2Buy team what suitable vehicles are currently available.

Because stock changes, the best alternative may be a different make, size, wheelbase or body style that still suits the work you need the van to do.

Should I choose the maximum vehicle I am allowed?

Not necessarily. The right van should fit your work, load, access and running needs rather than simply using the highest monthly amount available to you.

Consider what you regularly carry, whether you need extra seats, where you park, how often you load and unload and whether specialist body styles would genuinely help.
