Can You Get More Than One Van Through Rent2Buy?
Yes. Sole traders, partnerships and limited companies may be considered for more than one vehicle through Rent2Buy.
There is no fixed maximum number of vehicles a customer or business may have. The number that can be approved will always depend on affordability, income, cash flow, payment history and the circumstances of the applicant.
Do New Customers Normally Start With One Vehicle?
Most new customers will normally begin with one Rent2Buy vehicle.
This gives the customer time to establish a successful payment history and allows Rent2Buy Vans to see that the ongoing monthly payments remain affordable.
In many cases, Rent2Buy Vans will consider another vehicle after approximately three successful monthly payments. Depending on the circumstances, between three and six payments may be required before a further vehicle is approved.
This is not a fixed guarantee. Each request is considered individually.
Can a Larger Company Take Several Vehicles From the Start?
Possibly.
A well-established limited company with strong income and substantial cash flow may be considered for several vehicles from the outset.
Approval is still based on the company’s financial position and is never automatic.
Is There a Maximum Fleet Size?
No fixed maximum applies.
A business may gradually build a fleet of Rent2Buy vehicles where affordability supports the combined monthly commitments.
The number approved may therefore differ significantly between customers.
Are Further Affordability Checks Required?
Yes, normally.
Before approving another vehicle, Rent2Buy Vans will usually request the customer’s three most recent full bank statements.
These are used to review current income, cash flow and affordability.
Where the customer’s financial position has changed, their approved monthly vehicle limit may also be reviewed.
Does Each Vehicle Have Its Own Agreement?
Yes.
Every additional vehicle starts a separate Rent2Buy agreement.
A separate upfront payment and initial rental are payable for each vehicle.
Payments and responsibilities for one vehicle are separate from those for another vehicle.
Can Vehicles Be Added Gradually?
Yes.
A sole trader or business may start with one vehicle and add further vehicles as the business grows, subject to:
• Successful payment history
• Updated affordability checks
• Current income and cash flow
• Available Rent2Buy stock
• Approval for each additional agreement
Which Types of Vehicles Can Be Included?
Customers may choose different commercial vehicle types depending on the Rent2Buy stock currently available.
Stock may include:
• Small vans
• Medium vans
• Large vans
• Crew vans
• Tippers
• Lutons
• Pickups
• Other light commercial vehicles
• A limited number of cars
Rent2Buy primarily supplies light commercial vehicles, so cars and some specialist vehicle types may be limited.
Can Rent2Buy Source a Specific Vehicle?
Rent2Buy Vans does not normally source a particular vehicle for a customer under the scheme.
Customers choose from the Rent2Buy stock currently advertised.
Stock changes regularly, and what is advertised is what is available at that time.
Are Fleet Discounts Available?
Advertised Rent2Buy prices are normally fixed.
Fleet discounts are not generally offered simply because a customer takes more than one vehicle.
What Responsibilities Apply to Each Vehicle?
The same customer responsibilities apply whether there is one vehicle or several.
For every vehicle, the customer is responsible for:
• Fully comprehensive insurance
• Ongoing servicing
• Maintenance
• Repairs outside the applicable warranty
• Independent breakdown cover
• Making the monthly payments on time
• Complying with the mileage and agreement terms
Each vehicle has its own agreement and payment commitment.
